About this release
Fronted by the arresting figure of Hamburg-born chanteuse Billie Ray Martin, Electribe 101 took critics and fans by storm with their landmark 1990 debut album ‘Electribal memories’. With a sound that was a perfect blend of chilly electropop, soulful deep house and widescreen 60s film soundtracks, the album delivered a string of classic singles, including ‘Talking with myself’, ‘Tell me when the fever ended’, and ‘You’re walking’.
