Roachford remains one of the few acts to successfully blend rock and soul music in a manner that appealed to both camps.
While many musicians during the late 1980s committed themselves to a groove and sound that became known as streetsoul, Andrew Roachford and his bandmates marched to a different tempo, one that called for a diverse range of influences and inspirations.
Debut album Roachford, originally released in 1988, is now released on a double-CD. It contains hit singles Cuddly Toy (five versions of it, in fact!), Kathleen and Family Man, plus 12-inch mixes, B-sides and live tracks. Get Ready was Roachford’s second album, released in 1991 and includes the hit title track, plus tracks such as Funkee Chile and Wannabee Loved Bayou.
