In the early-90s, D:Ream dominated the charts with their infectious, upbeat dance-pop. They
reached number 1 with Things Can Only Get Better, a song that so effectively captured the heady
optimism of the era that it was later adopted by New Labour as their official anthem. The band,
featuring Peter Cunnah on vocals and a certain renowned physicist, Brian Cox, on keyboards, got
to number 4 with U R The Best Thing and had seven further top 40 hits, all of which are featured
on this comprehensive collection.
Compiled by Paul Lester, writer for Q Magazine, The Guardian and Record Collector and also
includes an in-depth sleeve note charting the band’s story as ‘cool Britannia’ heavyweights.
This is the first 2CD mid price D:Ream compilation available in the market
