Released, we are told, by public demand, this is the soundtrack to the Emmy-nominated Eddie Izzard biopic. A curious album it is, too, mixing rock and soul instrumentals with six different renderings of the film’s theme tune Mama Can You See Me Now? It appears as 60s Mowtown soul, 70s-styled glam-rock, 80s synth-pop and all stations between. Together with Believe, which includes some of the same lyric, it’s guaranteed to plant the song in your mind, from whence it will not budge.
