From the makers of Balamory comes Me too! a drama series for pre-schoolers set in the fictional city of Riverseafingal.
Me too! revolves around the lives of nine main adult characters in their workplace including a teacher, doctor, market, stallholder, cleaner on the buses, buffet car attendant, nurse and taxi driver – with the contrasting daily adventures of their pre-school child at play with Granny Murray.
Granny Murray is warm and welcoming – and also the fountain of all wisdom and inspiration – opening the door of her basement flat in Tattiemoon Lane to a different adult with their pre-school child at the beginning of every episode.
Riverseafingal is a busy, modern, fictional city created with CGI footage from existing cities including Glasgow, Newcastle, Edinburgh and London, with familiar landmarks for the pre-school child to understand and grasp at a glance. Central to the city is The Fingal – a river spanned by bridges that carry trains, buses, cars and taxis.
There is also a performing duo – the Ferryboat Bank – providing much of the music. Me too! The album contains songs sung by all of the characters from Me too! From getting to work with Tina, Raymond and Mickey John, on the buses with Bobby to Granny’s Windy Day Lullaby – whoever your favourite may be you will be singing along with everyone and enjoying a in the day of your friends from Riverseafingal.
The Me too! website features a ‘Build a City’ game for young users. The game reflects strong themes of the programme – time, transport, the city and jobs that people do – and brings them into a completely creative environment. Users are given the elements to create a city, including familiar characters and buildings from the programme, and a blank grid to build their city on.
