Concluding our re-issue programme of the O’Jays albums for the Philadelphia International label; these two were issued in 1985 and 1987. “Love Fever” features the hits “Just Another Lonely Night” and “What A Woman”, while the bonus track is taken from the Various Artists PIR album “Let’s Clean Up The Ghetto”. “Let Me Touch You” was a Top 3 album and features the # 1 single “Lovin’ You” and the Top 5 title track.
The bonus cuts, all stomping versions of The O’Jays’ biggest hits, “Backstabbers”, “For The Love Of Money” and “Love Train”, were recorded live at Bailey’s club in Leicester, England in the 70s. They are taken from the extremely rare Philadelphia album “Live On Stage” (which also featured tracks by Lou Rawls, Billy Paul and Harold Melvin).
